Hilary naplója

What's up? I have been busy in the studio working on my new album. I am very happy with the way it is turning out. I have been working with great writers who have excellent knowledge and insight which makes it better for me. I head to New York in a few days to check out New York fashion week and release my new fragrance With Love... Hilary Duff. The new album should be out in a few months and I am looking at acting in a few cool movies. I may get a chance to see Haylie in Hairspray on Broadway again. Fingers crossed! Oh yeah, I was the guest Editor-in-Chief for Seventeen magazine’s October issue. I was able to talk about everything! Check it out. It was fun and informative at the same time. Well, gotta go.

Wow! I went to New Orleans for the anniversary of Katrina. I was blown away. There is still a lot of work to be done and there are many people who are homeless and without food. We visited many schools and gave toys and food to shelters. I met many special people whom I would consider angels. These angels are giving from their hearts without getting anything in return. God bless the people of New Orleans. I encourage you to give anything that you might have to help these people who are in our own country. I work with Stan Curtis from USA HARVEST. I am humbled and in awe at all the heroes and people who keep on going and have not given up, in spite of losing so much. Forgive me if I sound corny but this is real and it could've happened to anyone in any city. I am grateful for this experience.

I'm busy working on my new album. I have a lot of stuff going on now. Play with Fire is still on the MTV TRL countdown and Material Girls is still in theatres. Thank you for always supporting me. I want you to know how appreciative I am to all of you for your positive emails and continued support. I am trying to plan a trip back to NY to chill with Haylie. She just extended Hairspray through Thanksgiving, so it looks like my family may be spending the holidays in New York. The city is so beautifully decorated during that time of year. I'm on my way to New Orleans so gotta go. TTYL!

Duff Wraps Up Mini-Tour (August, 3)Hey guys! What's up? I am at the end of my 8 city tour.Canada was lovely. I finished in New Jersey at the Taj Mahal and then Toms River which was a cool energetic show. I love it there. I am now in Northern Carolina at Fort Bragg doing a show for military families.."

Hilary Spends 4th Of July In Maryland With Joel
"I went to Maryland for the 4th of July weekend.I had a blast! One of Joel's friends got married. The wedding was cool and casual, they actually had sports activities! The weather was awesome too. I had the chance to eat huge King Crabs Baltimore style - with a bib and a huge wooden hammer. I got my hands dirty. Baltimore is a beautiful place. It's full of spirit. The night of the 4th, the fireworks topped off the evening. They lasted over 45 minutes! It was a great demonstration of true American spirit!"

I had so much fun in NY! I originally went for a week to spend time with my sister. She is going to be in Hairspray on Broadway!!! I am going to miss her for four months. We decorated her apartment and went to dinner. She had her first rehearsal today. Yesterday I was on Regis and Kelly and Carson Kresley. we had fun and then I did trl with Haylie for Material Girls which opens August 18. I am excited about everything that is going on! Haylie’s show Hairspray opens on July 18th!

I am on this month's cover of Self magazine! I love how the photos came out. When I did the shoot, everyone was nice and chatty. Oh yeah, they had great food too! I feel really good about the whole process because I like the fact that they are all about finding out about the real me, Hilary Duff, and not all that extra gossip and craziness. Be sure you pick up a copy!

On MSN's "Hot Gossip" column, I was quoted as calling the town of Waldorf, Maryland as 'a pretty ghetto place.' I want to set the record straight. I have never called Waldorf 'ghetto.' If a journalist has printed that, they might have me relaying a story Joel told me about when he moved to Baltimore when he was 18 and had no money. The place he was living was pretty ghetto. The journalist must have found out where Joel spent his childhood and took my words out of context. I didn't say Waldorf was ‘ghetto.' The place he moved to in Baltimore was. Joel loves where he grew up, and is taking me there in a month to show me around and he only has great things to say about his home town and the nice people.

I just finished going over my concert schedule and I am happy to be going back to St. John and doing the concert that was cancelled due to bad weather. Since the show sold out so quickly, I will add on another show the day before! I am also determined to make sure that I finish out our South American tour soon. I am so grateful for all of my fans and their continued support. Without your support, I would not be able to do what I do. I am honored to be involved with such special people. I will be in NY a lot with my fashion line and the movie and the new fragrance with Elizabeth Arden. Well, gotta go. I'll talk to you later.

"Hey everyone, I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about the release of Material Girls on August 18th nationwide! I just saw the last cut of the movie and my sister Haylie is so good! She is funny and beautiful. You are going to see her in a different light than what you are used to seeing. Angelica Houston is elegant. I am truly happy and ecstatic over the final movie. Make sure you tune in to TRL Monday June 26th when I kick off the trailer for movie week with Haylie! TTYL!"

"I am in NY now doing stuff for my new scent with Elizabeth Arden. It smells so good. I can't wait for everyone to try it. I am also here for Seventeen magazine because I am the guest editor for the October issue! My job is to create the layout and pick the topics. It’s so cool and lots of hard work. At least I get to see my sister. She is flying in today because she’s in a Broadway production. It opens July 18th. I can't wait. I will be there opening night with bells on. I am so proud of Haylie. Oh yeah, I spent half of the day talking to AOL and an AOL contest winner asked me some questions! Gotta get back to work. TTYL!"

Hilary at the LA Zoo

Today I am feeling better after being on vocal rest for 10 days. I think that I am ready to start talking again. Today I’ll be taking a picture with the new baby Giraffe at the LA Zoo. I wonder how close I’ll have to get. After that, I am having lunch with my sister Haylie who just got back from Miami where she was working on a movie with Frankie Muniz. Next on my schedule; I’ll be in NY and DC. Luckily, the East Coast is getting warmer. TTYL!

My Movies
June 2, 2006

I am so excited Cheaper by the Dozen 2 came out on DVD! I had so much fun filming the movie. It’s funny and full of adventure! Hopefully they will make Cheaper 3. Oh yeah, Material Girls is coming out on August 25th. Make sure you come out to support me and Haylie by seeing it! I haven’t been doing much the past few days but resting my voice and trying to get reenergized. TTYL

"Guadalajara Concert & Photo Shoot"

On Thursday night I was singing in Guadalajara. I felt such an amazing vibe from the Mexican fans. Right after the concert, I took a flight back to Cali, did a photo shoot that lasted the whole day. I’m excited to see how the pictures came out. I always like to try different things at my photo shoots, like posing in front of different artsy backgrounds and mixing and matching cool styles with my clothing. I was so drained after that because my flight from Mexico arrived at 2:30 am the morning of the shoot. I’m off to Mexico City for another concert. I love it!

"Off to Latin America!"

It feels like I just got home from Europe and I'm already off to Latin America for another tour. I am hitting a lot of places in a short time, which gets to be very tiring, but it is totally worth it. I love singing for my fans. Today I'm off to Mexico and then to Panama, Argentina, Brazil, Columbia and Guatemala. So much great music and dance moves come from Latin America, so it should be a lot of fun. Since the water is warmer down there than the Pacific, I'll also try to do some swimming at the beach. I’ll keep you updated on the tour. Look forward to seeing you at my concerts!

Live from Amsterdam

Well, this tour has been a whirlwind! I’ve been to just about five countries or so in the past month. I’ve seen some awesome sights. My fans in Europe are so warm and devoted. They are the reason I have such a good time performing. One amazing place where I gave a concert was a city right on the Mediterranean Sea called Valencia. Valencia is in Spain and famous for its beaches and paella (which is a dish with rice and seafood). We ordered a big dish of it to share. It was delicious! Below is a picture of me in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is so cute with its small canals and bridges. It is a city of true charm. I’ll be back on Thursday. TTYL!

Concert in Manchester

"The train to Manchester from London was two and a half hours of solid scenic beauty. Again, such a peaceful, gorgeous experience. Then at the show the fans knew all the words to most of the songs we played. Manchester was definitely the loudest show we’ve had on the tour so far! Also, the fans were a little bit older than the usual crowd that comes to my concerts. Even though it was a rainy day it was so cool to see all kinds of fans out representin’! It’s so great having such a loyal and friendly international group of fans. The show in Manchester reminded me of how great ALL my fans are – I’m so lucky and thankful to have you guys! I’m also excited about how cool the tour bus is we have over here. It looks just like the double-decker buses England is famous for except it doesn’t just have seats, it has beds too. From the front of the upstairs it looks like you might fall off because of how it’s shaped with the driver on the first level…don’t worry, I’m safe! Well, off to grab one of those beds I was mentioning! Next stop is Amsterdam. I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes!"

Hilary updated her blog on AOL's KOL service. "London is typical London. Cool, damp, and rainy…but the STORES WERE OPEN! After I stopped by for an appearance on "The Paul O’Grady Show," I headed straight to the Vivian Westwood store which had some really cute shirts and shoes and a bunch of cool chains and rings. Next we went to the store Liberty where the REAL shopping began. I did a lot of stocking up on boots, shirts, pants and blouses. We also had a good time wandering around the 4th floor where all the chandeliers and furniture is housed. After all that shopping we decided it was time to find some food! We headed out to my favorite Thai restaurant in all of London, Thai Square. If you go order the Pad Thai noodles with shrimp, that’s what I had…delicious! It was a really full day by that point and I was pretty pooped! I slept until 9:30 the next morning and didn’t have time for my workout. Bye for now!"

Hilary enjoying Glasgow (April 28)

"Glasgow... WOW! The hotel we stayed in (the Mar Hall) was a huge, old castle with a gorgeous green golf course and endless flowers and shrubbery.Every morning I woke up to rabbits and deer literally right outside of my window. It was such a peaceful and vibrant place. Also, the people here talk twice as fast as we do. It was amazing listening to them! My show was sold out and the fan support was absolutely overwhelming. That really made me love performing for Ireland. I gotta go but I think this is going to be a really good tour. I'm already having a blast!"

Hilary Duffs 80's Style Prom

"For all of you out there, who are home schooled or tutored instead of going to a regular school everyday, you don't have to miss special events like the prom or a school dance! You can have your own event, like I did with my friends. Since most of my friends don't go to regular school, because they work so much, we decided to throw our own prom. We decorated my friend Dan Byrd’s house with streamers and balloons and moved all of the furniture out. The theme was 80's style and you had to dress ‘80’s or else you couldn’t come. There were about 30 people on our guest list. Some girls went to thrift stores to buy their dresses. The guys wore suits with chucks or crazy tuxedos with big bow ties. We had a dj, voted for a prom king and queen and danced the night away, just like a real prom. We didn't even spend that much money! Remember, you never have to miss out on anything. You can always create your own fun!"

Hilary relaxes for a few days

"I have a few days off and I am totally taking advantage! I have relaxed, chilled at the Coffee Bean, I’ve been doing Pilates and having "girls night out" with my mom, sister Haylie and friends and spending time with my boyfriend too. It’s so good to be in sunny California (although we have had a few cold days), happy and stress free—having fun or just being lazy. Well the R&R is soon to end because in a week, I’ll be back to work. I’ll be in Cabo San Lucas, at a photo shoot for Elle! After that, my European tour awaits! I’ll be traveling to London, Italy, France, Amsterdam, Germany and Spain. Then we hit South America. I have my work cut out for me, but I love every bit of it!"

Hilary Duff happy with Teen People photoshoot (March 31):

"I did another photo shoot last week with Teen People. The photographer was so cool. He made me laugh and he worked fast so there was not a lot of sitting around. He was very imaginative and set up very creative shots. He had really nice clothes for me to wear and picked a great location. At Teen People photo shoots, they always have good food and people who love what they do. We got everything done in four hours, which is really fast!"

Hilary happy with E! Special taping (March 29)

"Last week I did a shoot for a one hour special on E! Entertainment. It was very cool. I was nervous some of the E! questions might be gossipy. (Their website has a whole section on gossip). When I got there, they were totally respectful and very nice. I was really glad I did it and proud of the way the shoot was run."

Hilary's Bathroom Chandelier (April 12)

"This is the chandelier that hangs in my own bathroom. When I saw it in the store I knew I had to have it. It’s exactly my style: funky, colorful and just different. I have been really into design lately and learning so much from professionals and from all my research here and overseas for my home décor line."

Hilary Duff updated her blog on AOL's KOL service. I was in New York when a big snow storm hit, so my flight back to Los Angeles was delayed. The delay caused me to be late to a photo shoot. When I finally got home from New York, I was so excited to find that my Yellowball had come in the mail. Since I was already late for the shoot, the first thing I did was grab my friends to go outside for an aggressive game of keep away. Troy, my right hand man, gave us a real work out. First we kept the Yellowball away from my sister Haylie. My taller friends had her jumping around like crazy trying to snatch away the ball. It didn't take too long before everyone felt exhausted, besides, it was time for my photo shoot. I had publicity photos taken for my new Hilary Duff brand and I also had some taken with my Yellowball in my new Yellowball tshirt! In the middle of the shoot, my mom stopped by with my little dog Lola to say hello. The second day of the shoot was Valentine's day and my boyfriend, Joel stopped by with candy, cookies and flowers all for me! Later that afternoon, the electricity went out and we took some pictures outside because it was too dark in the studio. What an overwhelming two days! After a nice long nap I plan to get outside again and play more games with my Yellowball.

Hilary in Ireland

"When we arrived in Dublin, I was awake and full of energy because I slept most of the 14 hour flight. On the long trip, I read a book about how to be responsible with your money by Suze Orman and watched 2 or 3 episodes of Lost. When we landed, I could see how beautiful the countryside is in Ireland. Everything is so green. It must rain a lot because it's so vibrant. For dinner, we went to a cool Irish pub with authentic cod and chips, but I ate some great tomato soup and a Caesar salad instead. After dinner we went for a nice walk and turned in early so that I wouldn't suffer from jet lag because, in Dublin, we are a full nine hours ahead! I have a big concert tomorrow that is sold out! I can't wait! The people here are so nice."

Hilary Duff service on Wednesday (April 19). "I leave today for Europe," Duff writes. "I'm excited because I'm going for my first European concert tour. As you know, I've been in Europe twice over the last six months, but mostly to do interviews. The fans have been great in Europe. They show up to support me at the various television shows like MTV London, Wake Up Italy and MTV Italy so it'll be great to finally perform for them. Well, got to catch my flight. I'll keep you posted from the road so keep reading my blog! I'll also try to upload some pictures so you can see what I'm up to, not just read about it!"

Hilary Duff posted on AOL's KOL service about her upcoming move "Material Girls". "I'm in Virginia recording a song for my movie coming out in August, Material Girls. It's going to be a lot of work, but at least my sister Haylie will be with me! We love to travel together. Haylie stars in the movie with me too. We play two sisters who are heiresses to a fortune. It was so much fun to make a movie together. You’re going to love it!"

Hilary Duff posted a brief message to fans on her blog at AOL's KOL service (March 29). "Last week I did a shoot for a one hour special on E! Entertainment,"it was very cool. I was nervous some of the E! questions might be gossipy. (Their website has a whole section on gossip). When I got there, they were totally respectful and very nice. I was really glad I did it and proud of the way the shoot was run."

Hilary Duff’s awesome time at Houston Rodeo 3/22

„I finally went to Houston to perform at the Rodeo. It was awesome! I got to see my old friends from school and even some of my old teachers. I chilled with my first cousins and went out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants, Pappas Bros. The steak was so good but not better than my dad’s. Anyhoo, there were about seventy thousand people at the Rodeo! I rode in on a carriage to kick off the start of the Rodeo. The concert was great, because the crowd was so energetic. The entire event was a huge success. I really was happy to be back in Texas. I stayed an extra with my mom and dad for some good quality family time. I back in Cali now, but missing Texas already.

Hilary Zagat Friday (March 17)

"I thought I'd share my favorite restaurants with you from my European tour,in London I loved Thai Square. Their Pad Thai was excellent! Mr. Chow was another one of my faves. In France there was a cute, hip and trendy place at the Hotel Costes. In Spain, we ate at La Teatriez, which used to be a theater that they transformed into a restaurant. In Italy we went to a family restaurant with a lot of character. The name of it isn't coming to mind right now. They catch fresh fish there everyday and cook it to perfection. If you take a trip to one of these countries, be sure to check out these restaurants. I highly recommend all of them! TTYL!"

Hilary Duff's San Remo Festival Review '06/3/16

"I just got back from doing a promotional tour throughout England, France, Italy and Spain. It all began at the San Remo Festival in Italy. San Remo is a cute little beach town, part of the Italian Riviera. This festival happens around the beginning of Carnivale, a holiday where children dress up in costumes and parade through their neighborhoods. It's sort of like Halloween. Then of course, there was a huge concert with lots of artists. Ricky Martin opened the show with a hot, hot, hot performance! Other performers were Pink and Simple Plan. The setting of music near the beach was amazing. I had a great time. My favorite city on this tour was Nice, France. I felt like I could go there with my friends and just kick back for a few weeks. I will be back on tour in the UK from April 18 to May 10th, so you can check out my tour schedule on www.hilaryduff.com."

More spring cleaning…

The closet clean out continues… I found some questionable items that I could not belive I ever wore! I think it’s interesting to search through your closet and see how your style has evolved over time. I think your closet also reffects how your personality changes and how become more mature as you grow up. Instead of getting caught up with the latest fads, I base my fashion desicions on the way I feel and what is happening in my life. My new fashion line will reffect the reel me. You’ll soon see. It took a lot of hard work to go through so many materials and styles to find clothing that would appeal to a broad spectrum of people. I have to admit, it was a lot of fun too. Also, look for me at the Houston Rodeo on March 16th if you’re around. I will see you soon.

Hilary Duff blogs for ’06/3/8

„It’s about to be spring, so I thought I’d get a head start on spring cleaning. Last week, I went through my closet to get rid of some old clothes that I haven’t worn in a while. It was also interesting to see the changes I have gone through over the last year. I found a lot of cool stuff that I had forgotten about, like my black stretch sweater, which I love, and my cozy Chanel slippers! Those are two things I definitely will not be giving away. It’s amazing how you can forget what you have until you go through everything."

After Haylie’s 21 st birthday

"We celebrated my big sister Haylie's 21st birthday by throwing her a huge birthday bash,The party was held at a very cool LA club. She wore a beautiful dress. We invited 400 people and over a thousand showed up! It was so exciting and so much fun. She was so happy after seeing the amount of people who came out to celebrate her day. My mom, dad, producers, directors and actors came. Mattel sent Haylie a huge Barbie doll birthday cake and we had a special toast. After that we danced the night away. It was good to see Haylie have fun and enjoy herself. I can't believe she's 21."

„My Cosmo Cover”

The Cosmopolitan shoot was awesome! At first, I didn't know what to expect. Sometimes at photo shoots, people already have preconceived ideas of what they want and how they want it and no if ands or buts. THIS EXPERIENCE WAS THE OPPOSITE! I walked in and there were so many different outfits combinations put together. The stylists and hair and make up team treated me with the utmost respect and were open to all of my ideas! They were so cool and said they wanted me to be comfortable. I was so honored and it felt good to be a part of a professional photo shoot for Cosmo. They asked some good questions and really wanted to discover the real me. I would say that it was a good experience and I am happy with the end result. I think the cover looks good and the article was accurate.

„Outch! I had my wiesdom teeth out!” 23/2/06

I had a very interesting week. I had to get all four of my wiesdom teeth pulled out at the same time! I was so scared because I thought it was going to be very painful. I ate right before I went in and then my dentist yoked about people eating too much before procedures. When I woke up, I thougth I barfed all over then dentist’s shoes for some reason. I kept asking mom if I did throw up and she kept saying I didn’t. I thought I at bast spit water on his shoes. The medication was prescribed made be feel better, but after it wore off, I was hurting. I am still in some pain. Now that it’s all over, I’m happy to have them out because they were pushing my other teeth together and that hurt! I am off to rest.

We are in Canada!! 06/01/07

We started our Canadian winter music tour in Victoria BC. It is an island about an hour from Vancouver. The scenery is beautiful. I am soo excited about seeing snow and having a huge snow ball fight with my band (like last year). We have added three awesome new dancers to the show (sorta like Beat of my Heart @ the AMA's) and I’ve added a few different songs. I feel really good about the show. Victoria fans are cool. They gave me energy and inspiration. The show was sold out! The people are so nice and the food was excellent. I just landed in our second city Kelowna where it is really cold! I have the day off so I am going to try and catch a movie and get some rest so I will be ready for the show tomorrow! When we landed, I saw white snow and beautiful trees. I love the fresh crisp air and I had to make sure Lola was warm, so I surprised her with a doggy parka (see the picture of us below)! She looks so adorable in it. Anyhoo, I have to go. I will talk to you soon.

So sorry I missed blogging last week. 06/01/05

The holidays got hectic even though I was off from work. Sometimes vacation time can get busier than work time. I was cooking and shopping and visiting family and had a wonderful time.

My New Years was soooo much fun and didn't seem like work. I co-hosted Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve Celebration with Ryan Seacrest and a host of talented singers and performers! I am so excited that I am getting ahead of myself. The night was awesome. Ryan Seacrest made everything really exciting. Dick Clark is a very classy man. Thousands of people were rocking out, dancing and having a ball. I represented the West Coast crowd in LA, while Ryan was simultaneously in NY representing the East Coast. New York’s' crowd was energetic and fun but I heard it was freezing there. It was nice and brisk in California and our crowd was the best! The Pussycat Dolls put on an amazing performance and Sean Paul kicked it! I got to perform three songs: Beat of my Heart, Wake Up and Come Clean. My stylist Deb Waknin got me this cool Fendi white dress with a black hat for my performance. It was off the hook! I think it looked kind of Gwen Stefani-ish. At one point Ryan was so hyped, I thought he was going to bust out and sing a song. HA! Overall everyone was happy to bring in 2006 and there was peace all around. No one became disorderly. There was just a bunch of people having fun and bringing in the New Year with a blast! I had fun and hope that you enjoyed.

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year 05' 12. 25.

Getting ready for Christmas @ the Duffs is an experience that is fun and joyous. Let me begin with the outside. It takes my dad 6 hours, 3 ladders and a tool set to put the lights up. I love how he does it. He doesn’t put up tons of tacky conflicting colors. He's classy - he uses only the clear lights. It looks like a work of art.

Going inside, we have a huge tree decorated with ribbons and lights and Radkos’. (My aunt Roz started a tradition with Christopher Radkos ornaments, they are special collectible tree ornaments and one-of-a-kind). Every year, we get a new one. We also have our little house set with a snowman, elves and Santa! We went all out this year. The house is so full. If we add another thing, I think it will be too much. (I think I might want a train track.)

Moving on, since my mom cooked Thanksgiving, Haylie is going to make her special homemade guacamole and chips. I will prepare a special chicken dish with orange citrus. I can't cook everything, but I have specialty dishes mastered. My dad makes the best skillet cooked steaks. He uses peanut oil and a special rub from Texas.

This Christmas is special because we don't have to work and I get to spend time with mom dad, sis and my nana. I absolutely love Christmas Eve! I peeked under the tree and saw a few Louis Vuitton boxes... (I’ll be good and wait. I promise I won’t open them until Christmas Day).

Gotta go! Have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Cheaper by The Dozen 2. 05' 12. 21.

The movie premiere for Cheaper By The Dozen 2 was awesome! What made it so cool was that we arrived in Christmas Sleighs! They had seven sleighs fully equipped with real horses - on the streets of Westwood! They even had faux snow on the ground. The premiere was on the west side so it was cold. The only cast members I missed were Tom Welling because he had to film his show in Canada and Piper Perabo had to work in New York.

OMG! Steve Martin and Eugene Levy are so funny in this movie. They are cool in real life, too. I hung out with Eugene Levy's daughter, Sarah, while filming in Toronto. We are about the same age - she’s 19 or 20. The Levy's are so much fun to hang out with. I really liked this one more than the first one. There are more stunts and practical jokes, water stuff - some of the action was dangerous. We had fun filming - it’s noticeable onscreen. I took pictures with cool fans and got to catch up with the cast. I wonder why they didn't have an after party? That was the first time that happened. Maybe it was a school night. Anyhoo, I am going to the theatres to see it again! Don't miss C2!

I Love Sidney! 05' 12. 15.

After some heavy shopping in Adelaide, we went to the beautiful, white sandy beaches that stretch along Sydney’s coastline. The sun is shining high and bright. The Sydney coastline is amazing. It stretches for miles and all you can see are beautiful white sandy beaches all the way to Palm Beach. The most famous beach here is called Bondi Beach. From there, you can walk to Coogee, all along the clifftop. The view is spectacular. There were sun-bathers, surfers and volleyball players enjoying the summery weather. The people here are so friendly and personable, which makes Australia a very pleasant place to vacation.

I had a sold out show in Newcastle, which is about two hours from Sydney. The crowd was lively and excited and I had a great time performing there. The day after the concert, we went out to a great restaurant called Wildfire. I ate a delicious steak and salad. Yet again, the restaurant served bugs as an appetizer! They are called Barbi Beatles. I’m told they are also called Balmain Bugs and taste like lobster. I still did not order them.

My Day with the Kangaroos 05' 12. 07.

I’m writing from the land down under where it is summertime and where I am currently kicking off my Still Most Wanted Australian tour which takes me from Adelaide to Melbourne to Canberra to Newcastle to Wollongon to Sydney to Brisbane and then back to the U.S.

I started off in Adelaide where I had time to enjoy my day off at the wildlife park in Adelaide. I fed the Kangaroos, very intelligent and strong animals. One "roo" took a liking to me. She had a little joey in her pouch and jumped right up to me and put her hands in my lap. I fed her and even hugged her until she hopped away. It was so cool. I also had a great time learning about Koala's and held Dot, a baby girl Koala. I learned that they eat 40 to 60 pounds of eucalyptus for 45 minutes a day and then pretty much sleep the rest of the time. I guess the pounds of eucalyptus that they pack away make them drowsy. Dot was very soft and she smelled like sweet plants or medicine that my mom used to give me when I was little. I saw a real Tasmanian devil and fed the Emus. (They look a lot like an ostrich). My day off was fun and exciting. I also learned different animal habits and feeding rituals.

My favourite holidays 05' 11. 18.

Hey everyone,

Back to reality and another busy week before Thanksgiving. Did you know my two favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and July 4th? Well, this week I am shooting a Candies commercial with my good friend, Michelle Trachtenberg. Ciara and Samaire Armstrong are in too. It has been great hanging out with friends and the Candies set is really laid back. The cover of Teen People is next and at the end of the week Haylie and I are shooting another Icebreakers commercial. Lola may make her acting debut for Candies so check it out! Have a great weekend.
